WHY HELP LENNOX:
The need to promote and facilitate educational opportunities is clearly present, but the drive for educational advancement is even more pronounced. Lennox students are graduating with over 3.5 GPAs, receiving acceptance letters to top universities, and with resumes full of community service projects and involvement. These students have profound drive and motivation to achieve educational excellence. They come from families whose parents work multiple jobs that barely cover the rent.
As a community, we raise these students to go to school, earn good grades and aspire for a better life. A college education is the "golden ring" for these students that yearn deeply to help their families have a better life.
They study and struggle regardless of severe financial, social and emotional hardship because as a nation we value education. However, the cost of a college education is becoming increasing out of reach expanding the socio-economic gap, especially for these children that have struggled and made it so far.
LEAF, through its generous and continuous sponsors, steps in to bridge the gap and allow Lennox students to continue the path of their dreams fueled by their own hard work and determination for a better life.
