Maria Ayala, 3rd Teacher
at Buford Elementary
used the grant to create a hands-on science
lecture series with scientists/MadScience (STEM)
"Thank you for the wonderful opportunity of creating Scientists in our classrooms! Our students had a magnificent time learning about the spectrum of colors and its effect! They were delighted to learn about light having all the rainbow of colors, and about how certain animals see light differently! The students did a color blind experiment to help them understand this process and also created a battery circuit which enhanced their understanding of light! Without your support, this couldn’t had been possible!"
