Ruben Garcia & Luisa Vasquez, 1st Grade Teachers at Moffett Elementary
used grant to create and publish students' original bilingual short stories
"We would like to thank the L.E.A.F. organization for it’s generous grant. It would not have been possible to have all 40 Lennox students receive a copy of their published book if it were not for organizations like L.E.A.F that give back to the community. Parents and students were very excited to know that they will receive a free book and asked me to thank L.E.A.F on their behalf. Our Lennox students were extremely proud of their writing and illustrations. When we as educators motivate and praise students’ achievements I believe it only strengthens our students self esteem and creates a successful pathway for future. In closing, we would like to remind the L.E.A.F organization how valuable your contributions are to the community and their impact our Lennox students."
